The Rotaract Club of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, organized a spooktacular Halloween-themed event “Moonlit Mayhem” on October 31, 2023, under the International Service Avenue. The event was a bewitching blend of entertainment, engaging games, and a delightful showcase of global horror cultures.

Attendees were treated to a ghoulishly good time with an array of Halloween-themed games, complete with candy prizes. The event also featured a cozy stall where marshmallows were roasted, adding a sweet twist to the spooky atmosphere.

The real highlight of the evening was the bone-chilling horror story-telling session. Storytellers transported the audience to the darkest corners of their imaginations, inspired by diverse cultures, including narratives from Sri Lanka, Japan, England, America etc.

The event served a dual purpose – it provided an opportunity for the students of the Faculty of Medicine to immerse themselves in the Halloween spirit, while also raising awareness about the diversity of horror cultures from around the world. It was a hauntingly good time that left attendees with unforgettable memories and a deeper appreciation for the art of storytelling and cultural diversity in the realm of horror.
