The atmosphere at the University of Colombo was charged with excitement as Leader in You 2025, proudly presented in title partnership with CINEC Campus, returned for its second consecutive year. Organized by AIESEC in University of Colombo, the event welcomed more than 300 A/L students, offering them an immersive leadership experience filled with inspiration, learning, and personal growth.
The day began with registrations, followed by the welcome ceremony and traditional lighting of the oil lamp, signifying the start of a journey into youth empowerment. An introductory session then laid the foundation for the day’s vibrant lineup of speakers and activities.
Power-Packed Speaker Sessions
The core of the event was defined by three insightful speaker sessions:
- Fahad Farook, a renowned corporate trainer and motivational speaker, shared powerful insights on unlocking inner potential and embracing leadership with courage and clarity.
- Michelle Dilhara, actress, author, and social activist, inspired delegates with her session on self-worth, empathy, and the responsibility of youth in creating inclusive societies.
- Sandro Satyajith, transformational coach and public speaker, engaged participants through interactive storytelling and strategies for building purpose-driven lives.
Each speaker left a deep impression on the delegates, offering practical tools and motivation for their academic and personal journeys.
Learning Through Experience
The event also featured a thrilling Outdoor-Based Training (OBT) session conducted by Mr. Thuvan Rajab, a seasoned leadership trainer. The session fostered teamwork, resilience, and adaptability through fun, challenge-based learning.
Adding rhythm and joy to the atmosphere, the University of Colombo Music Circle presented a captivating entertainment performance, bringing music and unity to the crowd. Jives led by AIESEC members uplifted spirits and encouraged connection among participants.
