The Ministry of Education has instructed all government schools to extend their daily school hours by one hour, starting on 18th, April 2022.
Prof. Kapila Perera, Secretary to the Ministry of Education stated that the extension will carry out until 23rd December, for this year’s academic term only.
He further said that this decision has been taken to cover the missed hours of the first school term. And the school schedules, including interim vacations, have already been submitted to the principals.
