AIESEC in the University of Kelaniya is proud to usher in the Sinhala and Tamil New Year with CN Awurudu 2025 — a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and leadership, set to take place on Saturday, May 3rd, at the Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha Grounds.
The event brings together the entire AIESEC family – current members, alumni, and partners – for a spirited day of traditional games, festive food, and heartfelt reunions.
Rooted in Sri Lankan heritage and infused with the dynamic energy of youth leadership, CN Awurudu 2025 will feature an exciting lineup of Avurudu games and competitions. From the joyful chaos of kanamottipidimma to the nostalgia of musical chairs, lime and spoon races, and the always-hilarious punniscamma, the celebration promises moments of laughter, bonding, and friendly rivalry.
Complementing the games, attendees can indulge in a traditional food corner offering beloved Sri Lankan treats – capturing the warm flavors and aromas that define the New Year season. With this immersive cultural experience, the event blends age-old customs with the youthful spirit of AIESEC.
This year’s celebration is made possible thanks to the generous support of several event partners. Red Floral Eventz joins as the Silver Partner, with AECC Study Abroad Consultants as the Event Partner, alongside the contributions of multiple banner sponsors whose backing plays a vital role in bringing CN Awurudu 2025 to life.
More than just a festive gathering, CN Awurudu 2025 reflects AIESEC’s unwavering commitment to leadership, cultural understanding, and unity across generations. It serves as a bridge between past and present, honoring the rich legacy of alumni while empowering today’s young leaders to carry forward the values of collaboration, tradition, and excellence.
