In a world that continues to change rapidly, young people are increasingly called upon to step forward, take responsibility and create meaningful change. Recognizing the importance of developing young leaders who are equipped to face these challenges, AIESEC in University of Colombo is set to host LDS 14.0 (Leadership Development Seminar) on 26th and 27th September 2026 at Lavanga Beach Resort, Hikkaduwa.
AIESEC is a global youth-led organization focused on developing the leadership potential of young people through practical experiences. Through international exchanges, volunteering, leadership programmes and youth-led initiatives, AIESEC provides young people with opportunities to step beyond their comfort zones, gain new perspectives and create a positive impact.
One of its key initiatives, LDS – Leadership Development Seminar, has continued to create an environment where young individuals can learn, challenge themselves and develop their leadership potential. LDS 14.0 marks the 14th edition of this journey, bringing together 100+ passionate delegates for an immersive two-day leadership experience.
Unlike a conventional conference, LDS 14.0 is designed to make leadership development an experience rather than simply a lesson. Through 08+ impactful sessions; Outbound Training (OBT), interactive sessions, workspaces, simulations, partner spaces and a Theme Party, delegates will be encouraged to strengthen skills such as teamwork, communication, decision-making, adaptability, problem-solving and resilience.
As the 14th edition, LDS 14.0 continues AIESEC in University of Colombo’s commitment to creating meaningful and impactful experiences for young people. On 26th and 27th September 2026, over 100 young minds will come together for two days of learning, collaboration, challenges and connection, discovering their potential while growing alongside one another. Beyond the sessions and experiences, LDS 14.0 will also be a journey of shared moments, new friendships and bonds that may last long beyond the event itself. After all, leadership is not only about where the journey takes us, but also about the people we meet, the memories we create and the ways we grow together along the way.
